Blues warm up with six-try win

The Blues beat the Hurricanes 36-22 in a Super Rugby pre-season game in Whangarei on Saturday.

The Blues ran in six tries in the match, which was played over four 20-minute quarters.

Jerome Kaino opened the try-scoring, with George Moala, Chris Lowrey and Anthony Boric all crossing in the first half to put the Blues ahead 26-3 after two quarters.

The Hurricanes' only try of the match came from Julian Savea late in the third spell, while Sherwin Stowers and Dan Prior completed the Blues try tally.
