Men and women keen to test their endurance and mental toughness took on the Tough Mudder event in Cheshire, United Kingdom, on the weekend.This is the first time the gruelling 18-kilometre obstacle course has been set up in the UK.
Designed by Special Forces, the course is described as the ultimate test of strength, stamina, determination and camaraderie.
Participants were dunked in icy water, electrocuted, climbed cargo nets and ran up muddy hills, among other things.
A Tough Mudder event is yet to be staged in New Zealand, but keen competitors can register their interest at the
official site.
