Semen too disgusting for US TV?

MSN NZ

Warning: the story you're about to read is really gross.

An episode of the reality show Fear Factor — which challenges its contestants to do outrageous things for money — was pulled by a US network because of a challenge deemed too disgusting to be broadcast on TV.

So here's what happened: the competitors had to drink donkey semen. Yes, the semen of a donkey.

TMZ reported (warning: that link includes pictures of... the offending fluid) last week that executives from US network NBC had agreed to let the repulsive stunt go to air, but a rerun was aired in place of the episode — suggesting that someone realised there are some things that just shouldn't go on TV.

(Insultingly, Entertainment Weekly claims Fear Factor producers argued that donkey semen is considered "a delicacy" in Australia and New Zealand. Um. No, it really isn't, Entertainment Weekly.)
